NOTE: During the current ongoing COVID-19 crisis, events are more fluid than usual. What happens month-to-month will be determined by the COVID-19 Response Plan developed by SCA Ltd, the Kingdom of Lochac, and the officers of Bordescros. Bookings for all in-person events are not currently required, but are recommended. Bookings for upcoming events can be done month by month via our Regular Event Booking Form. Pre-payment is not required with bookings. If you do pre-pay and the activity is cancelled, a full refund will be provided (or it can be credited to your next event of the same type although a new booking will be needed). If you wish to cancel before the event, please reply to your confirmation email or email the booking officer email account.
Our regular monthly events are listed below or you can keep track of upcoming events via our Google Calendar. For details of each individual event, subscribe to Borderlist or join our Facebook group. If you are interested in running one of our monthly activities, consider putting your name down on the Activities Roster.

Details:
This is not a ‘garbed’ event, in other words we wear normal clothing. This is an opportunity to meet and work on projects or skills. Bring along your latest project and work in the comfort of a large space (with air-conditioning/heating as the climate requires) with lots of chatting and fun! Bring your armour and weapons to work on or use in training! Come to the meeting and help shape the direction of the Shire! BYO snacks and refreshments.
- Althing: This is from Old Norse and is generally understood to represent a meeting or assembly where things are discussed (it’s also the name of the Icelandic Parliament). For our purposes, it’s our monthly Shire Meeting where reports are provided by officers and decisions are made on what the Shire does. Officers who cannot attend are requested to send a report with their apologies to the Seneschal. Starts at 1:00 pm.
- Crafthall: A common term in some parts of the SCA for a non-garbed day for doing things. This could be arts and crafts related, combat or training related, or anything else that is about developing the skills and interests we express through the SCA. Starts at 2:00 pm.
- Fighter Training: Interested in SCA combat? Come along and you might find someone to talk it through with; have a chance to work on your armour and weapons; or even train. For details on martial availability you can contact the group marshal.
Crafthall generally concludes no later than 5pm
