Welcome

Greetings visitor, and welcome to the Shire of Bordescros.

The Shire of Bordescros is part of the Kingdom of Lochac (Australia and New Zealand), the 19th Laurel Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism‘s Knowne World. Our lands lie south of Torlyon (Yass NSW), south-west of Politarchopolis (ACT), north-east of Cairnfiall (Bendigo and Ballarat VIC) and north of Stormhold (Melbourne VIC) and Kraé Glas (South-East Melbourne VIC).

What this means is the Shire is found in the area bordered by Wagga Wagga in the north, to Tumbarumba in the East and follows the western side of the Snowy Mountain region to Myrtleford. Across to Wangaratta  in the south and as far west as Deniliquin. Bordescros is centred around Albury-Wodonga on the NSW/Victoria border and has a satellite group, Loch Corbie located at Wagga Wagga NSW.

Bordescros has had several different website addresses in the past. This is the current OFFICIAL website for the Shire of Bordescros. We apologise for any erroneous search engine listings you may have found before coming here.

What is the Society for Creative Anachronism?

The Society for Creative Anachronism (commonly referred to as the SCA) started as a costume party celebrating May Day for a group of history majors at the University of California, Berkeley and has grown over the years to a world wide social and sporting organisation for people with an interest in medieval times.

Social activities include feasts, balls, revels and the side activities of our wars and tournaments.

The sporting side includes armoured combat, rapier combat, archery, dancing and equestrian activities.

Those with a scholastic bent are not forgotten either, and the Society both welcomes and encourages people to delve into history and reproduce the objects of wonder and beauty or treatise on how things were done.

We welcome enquiries from anyone interested in finding out more about our activities.

Please check the calendar for upcoming events to attend, to find your closest group see the Lochac Groups page or contact the Bordescros Seneschal.
